India Travel

I love India and last November 2013 I enjoyed a luxury tour organised by Mr Roosevelt of windowstokerala. I am pleased to recommend him very highly. Everything was perfect, the car, driver, hotels and all the beautiful places we visited.

The previous year 2012, I went on a tour to the southernmost tip of India where 3 oceans meet at KANYAKUMARI. Over 10 days we visited the many fantastic temples of Southern India. Mr Roosevelt will probably be able to organise this as well as Kerala otherwise email insider_santosh@yahoo.com who will put you in touch with Sudhakar who took me and Santosh through Tamil Nadu in 2012.

15 years ago I toured Rajasthan. I would not do that on my own now but this ‘Golden Triangle’ is very well covered by a number of tour operators. Choose the best and go with a small group.

My favourite hotels in the world are The Imperial Hotel in Delhi and The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai or The Raj Villas Oberoi hotel outside Jaipur. All give an unforgettable experience of beauty, service and make you feel very special.

Goa:

I always loved the old hippie North but now would recommend the top hotels in the South. The Leela Palace, Taj Exotica & Taj Fort Aguada. They organise tours including The Saturday Night Market and Anjuna market on Wednesdays or dinner on the candle lit beach at Arunbol where there are great clubs, music and brightly lit shops. Email me for other contacts imogen@langarhall.co.uk.
